What we did
This project looks to enhance the capabilities of Dorset Police Force by replacing the outdated existing 1950’s A10 administrative building with a new, flagship asset suitable for modern day policing requirements. The highly sustainable scheme and building servicing strategy adopted will assist Dorset Police in their long-term plan to reduce operational carbon and running costs.
Coreus have undertaken the role of Project Management, Quantity Surveyor and BREEAM Assessor from concept and have played a pivotal role in advising the client on a suitable procurement strategy to facilitate a main contract award which would best reflect the client’s desired risk profile. This involved a 2 stage design and build procurement route with the subsequent open book negotiation with the preferred main Contractor.
Works have now commenced on site with the new HQ building expected to be complete in Spring 2024. Coreus are also providing the Clerk of Works role throughout construction to ensure the works are completed to a high quality standard and meet the needs of the client.
