About The Project
The purpose of Queen Elizabeth’s Master plan project is to identify key opportunities and constraints regarding the amalgamation of the schools existing facilities which are spread throughout Crediton; the aim is to create one campus at Western Road to promote efficiency for the school. The project also includes addressing the existing condition of some of the buildings within the Trust’s estate to ensure high quality learning environments and spaces are developed for both staff and students.
Coreus have undertaken the role of project management, cost consultancy and principal designer and have played a significant role in advising on the phasing of the master plan to ensure the operation of the school remains uninterrupted from construction works. This has involved the development of option studies and phasing programmes to align with the short, medium and long-term phases of the master plan.
As part of the short-term phase proposals, design development works have progressed for St Martins and College House with works expected to be completed by Autumn 2025.
