Yeovil Public Realm

The project involved resurfacing works and public realm improvements to four key areas of Yeovil: Westminster Street, the High Street and Borough, Middle Street West and Wyndham Street. The purpose of the works was to refresh the town centre through making the areas more attractive to residents and businesses whilst also encouraging more visitors into Yeovil. The works included: improved street lighting, new street furniture and bench seating, flexible paving space, new natural stone paving and the addition of soft landscaping throughout the areas.

The works were completed in a phased approach to ensure local businesses remain operational whilst the construction works were delivered; regular correspondence with businesses maintained positive relations from the start of the project through to completion. Traffic management was an important consideration throughout the works to minimise disruption to local residents. The final phase of the works were completed in December 2024, when the Triangle section was finished.
