Scott Moore Wins Prestigious RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Awards
Coreus Group’s Regional Director for the South West, Scott Moore, scooped two awards at the The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Matrics ‘Young Surveyor of the Year Awards 2022’ at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Friday night.
Scott won the category for ‘Quantity Surveying and Construction’, which showcases an individual who demonstrates evidence of strong commercial, analytical, negotiation and communication skills to achieve value for money in building and civil engineering.
Scott then went on to win the overarching award of ‘Young Surveyor of the Year 2022’, selected from nearly ninety excellent finalists.
The RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards showcase the exceptional talent within the surveying profession in the UK and recognise those who have demonstrated excellence early in their careers.
Andrew Clancy, Coreus Group’s MD said, “Since joining Coreus early last year, Scott has played a vital role in transforming the business, helping to drive growth both at a regional and national level.
Scott has proven to be an exceptional ambassador for the profession and advocate for the construction industry, attending RICS Regional Board meetings, assessing APC candidates, inspiring his peers and colleagues, and mentoring the team.
In addition, Scott’s specialist knowledge of low energy/carbon construction has been used to provide expert advice to Coreus clients and the wider industry.”
The judges identified Scott as Young Surveyor of the Year 2022, as being clearly a very capable young professional who gives first class service to clients, peers and their business. He is already playing a vital role in making sure future RICS candidates are supported and developed to a similar standard, which is great to see.
On presenting his award the judges said, “It is outstanding that Scott has achieved so much so early in his career.”
On winning Scott said “I am extremely proud to have won RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year 2022, thank you to the judges and all those who attended the event for making the evening so memorable. Congratulations to all the nominees and category winners, you are all fantastic ambassadors for the profession and will go on to be inspiring leaders in the industry.
It is a real honour to be a member of the RICS and to take this award home. Without a doubt this achievement has been made possible by the fantastic network of support and inspiring leaders that I have had around me throughout my career. This includes my incredible family, friends and over the last two years the inspiring leadership has been provided by Andrew Clancy and the support provided by my amazing team at Coreus Group and our fantastic clients, thank you.”
